Report:

having intended to fish this beach over high water last saturday and being dissapointed to find it unfishable due to the gales i was anxious to fish it this week.typical the only night i could do would co-incide with the worst conditions to fish for bass, i arrived to find the sea like a mirror and a bright moon present. it was so bright that i could bait up, cast and see bites without a head torch.

bites were few and far between, with only a few minor bites from what i can only assume were coalies and whiting which i managed to miss. only had the one good bite which resulted in the bass and even this was minor compared to the typical rod wrenching bites ive become acustomed to. would have been easy to get frustrated with the lack of fish but such beautiful nites to fish in only come around every so often so its best to enjoy it while it lasts. oh and al bites came at distance. the bass took a double lug bait at about 140 yds.

was also out last wednesday, friday and sunday to try for come codling but alas they havnt shown down this way yet. did manage whiting, dogs, coalies, pouting and a solitary mackeral..
