Catch and Release:: Yes/no

we heard court town was fishing well for flounder so we said we would give it a go. got down at around half eight and we caught flounder straight away. no cod caught and if a fish bait was cast over 50 yards a dog was onto it straight away. only one bass caught but it was a beaut and fell to rag fished in close to the shore.

the gilt head bream fell to lug close to the shore also. there was a good number of fish moving close to the shore and sprats broke the surface on a number of occasions.

dog walkers also told us of large fish jumping out of the water down near the rocks at the end of the beach.

one last thing me and my mate had to clean up the beach after a number of anglers left traces and bait bags all over it. if any of yous are reading this post perhaps you should be a bit more careful and considerate in the future as its a waste of my time cleaning up after you's and also littering is a nuisance and that is one of the grounds for the fishing ban on killiney beach hope i dont sound like an old man here but i just want to get my point accross.

tight lines,

samo.

karl caught the gilthead it was around half a pound but very unusual to see one getting caught in november. by the loos of it there seemed to be a small shoal of fish maybe bass or giltheads or both hitting into spats around 10 to 15 yards from the shore.

we were fishing the north beach around 300 yards to the left after the car park.
