Dungarvan, Waterford, 3rd & 4th Nov '07

Mon Nov 05, 2007 10:10 am

People: Me, Graham & Cortaz

Duration: 2 days

Tide: high and low tides in various marks

Weather: Warm, dry and flat calm (the sea was like a lake)

Bait: Lures, rag, crab, razors, cuttlefish.

Rigs: 1 hook and 2 hook paternosters.

Results: 3 pollock and a coal fish (all small).

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: We were hoping to connect with a couple of bass. We normally don't lend ourselves to the prime fishing times. We rather have to fish when the opportunity arises. Seeing as though our football match was called off this Saturday we decided to head down to Cortaz. Unfortunately upon arrival we were given the bad news - we came at the worst possible time! We arrived between the full and the new moon so fishing conditions were less than ideal.

A big thank you to Cortaz who greeted us at his door step at 2am Saturday morning! A couple of nice relaxing mugs of tea in his house between sessions was very welcoming.

We'll be back!
