Wed Oct 31, 2007 1:40 pm

People: Myself and 2 brothers

Duration: 3.5 hours

Tide: falling

Weather: overcast, light sw wind

Bait: rag

Rigs: running legers

Results: 2 bass (3lb,5lb + 1 flounder)

Catch and Release:: Not this time

Report: Took two of my brothers out for a few hours on Monday morning, both haven't fished in years but we each got a fish all within 20 minutes of each other. No other bites after this but good to get out all the same.

Had some bait left over so headed to Courtmac to fish low water the following day, 1 nice 2lb flounder on crab for my brother but nothing for the rest of us...

Alright Rory, decent flounder.

The ould fella fished the estuary 3 times yesterday and this morning. One bass each session, all to crab, all around 2.5-3lbs. Boathouse and at the lifeboat slip. He reckons he lost a speciment on the lure just in the shallows and in fairness to him, hes not one to exagerate.

nice one Rory. Good to see those Cork beaches being good to someone else. Good to see you got them during the day. It'd be nice to be able to get out of a morning instead of continuosly charging batteries for my head torch......

Thanks lads
Blaker, sounds like your father is living the good life :D ...we were after the Giltheads but it looks like they have disappeared from the estuary now :o

Will have to persuade the Scotsman to divulge his mark :!:
