is 8 fish really that bad - or was it the weather coupled with the fact you were after something a lot bigger?

Sun Oct 21, 2007 9:29 pm

yeah reckon the looking for something bigger was the problem, but having said that its still great to get out fishing.

I beg to differ chaps.

Had a fish nearly every cast at the weekend. From small codling, dogs, pouting, flounder, whiting, smootie (smallest i've ever seen it was the lenght of my hand) Not bad at all.

I went out Sunday for 3 hours and had 6 schoolie Bass 2 Flounder and a small Plaice . . .was an ok session I thought, plenty of fish about maybe the S/E winds helped?

I was there Fri nite and it was poor hardly any fish about, it was a tiny tide and flat calm and outgoing. its amazing what a bit of a bigger tide and some wind can do for the fishing. what part of the beach where you's fishing?

wonder if possible to light up the beach on night from them cables  how far they would be from the sea at the high water???

Tue Oct 23, 2007 10:02 pm

afraid not it makes the light bulb flash due to the fence having a pulse of electricity rather than a permanent current ,this could induce a disco atmosphere and would put the fish off feeding and set them onto the drink instead   bit like an sai comp
