People:Just me
Duration:11-1
Tide:rising
Weather:Sunny
Flys:Clousers, half and halfs, decievers
Results:nothing
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:Went down to see if I could get any mullet as there were some there last time couldnt see any around so tried some groundbaiting threw in half a broken up slice pan and let the tide wash it around left it for a bit but there was nothing showing and the seagulls were enjoying the bread too much so called it quits on the mullet. Switched over to the pollack and bass flys and thrashed away at that for a while, managed to hook what I think was a bass because it went off like a steam train it was near to the end of the retreive wasnt expecting it that close and didnt get a good hook hold. After a minute it all went slack. That was my first encounter with a bass I think. Nice day to be out as well.

Shame about losing that fish. Out of curiosity do you normally fish the area to the left or the right of the swimming area/changing rooms, if you know what I mean. I only noticed the track down to the right last time I was there, just wondering how it fishes. I must admit I really like that area from Sorrento Terrace along to White Rock and on towards Killiney, fished a fair bit over the last few months mostly catching small pollock and mackerel although I did manage to get one bass along that stretch over the summer.

Ive never gone on the right hand side of the changing rooms always go to the left of them, might give the other side a look not sure if it is as easy to cast with a fly rod there. Nice spot to fish its nearly always sheltered and fairly quiet
