People: myself and handbrake hynes
Duration: 5.15 - 8.15
Tide: high round 7.15
Weather: very clear and bright, spat mist once, started southerly but changed to easterly and increased in intensity
Bait: mack, lug, sandeel
Rigs: flappers, single hook clipped, feathers
Results: mackerel, pollack, dogfish, gurnard
Catch and Release:: No, mack kept for bait
Report: finising the GBSAC comp in lettergesh, handbrake asked me did i want to head to little kilary. initially was all gung ho but by the time i had packed up and got to the car my heart wasnt in it, very tired etc.
was hoping he would get some other takers - but none showed interest so said why not and headed down
it was a fine day with no rain so no complaints - banged out the bait around 60-70 yards but after 5 mins it kept coming towards me - bloody big crabs
one big lad that i got up had barnacles on him - has been at it for years id say - bringing the bait from the sand into the weed :x
but no worries didnt lose any gear - a good size mack slammed the bait on the drop - and that was it for me
had a conger flapper in over the edge for 30 mins - but that was just stripped by the crab also
dave wanted some bait and the mack showed on the feathers - had 3 triples and got himself plenty of bait
got a pollack and a gurnard aswell!
on his last cast got the dog
got tired of playing the crab game so left it after 3 hours
nice location as ever and the rain stayed off - but the place was a tip!
really disgusting - line everywhere - cans packaging - hooks - traces etc.
i would hate to be the farmer on that land - his cattle are bound to do some damage to themselves at somestage
these people just dont think
filled a bag full of line - but i could have spent the 3 hours cleaning
ignorance at its height

Was fishing there 10:30 - 16:00 when the water was low and blanked.
PS - I was fishing by the big white "stinky towel" and beer cans. None of these were mine.
