Report:
Headed to the mark we fished a few times this year prior to the influx of the mack bashers. I was curious to see how it would fish as it fished well enough early doors. Tactics were fairly simple, welly 3 hooks out baited with nice neat sandeel baits and wait. Fish were rattling the rod tip from the off with a variety of bits and pieces coming to the rock. No sign of anything larger and nothing of any great size either but entertaining enough nonetheless, most would have counted under SAI rules, about 4 would have made it with Crosshaven rules. I had 2 pouting, a dogfish, 4 whiting and 4 coalies in 8 casts. Paul managed a couple of coalies for himself too. Last cast drew a blank despite being hammered and with last orders at the chippy on the horizon we packed up and headed off.
A pleasant enough, relaxing evening, especially given as the Mother in Law arrived this morning.... Unbelievably I've been given a free pass for today also.... Off to get the boat hull wet I think....
