People: Me, petekd, phanover, Michael, Vjaceslavs
Duration: 22:30 - 24:00 (eventually)
Tide: LW 23:00 ish
Weather: Cool, clear, slight southerly breeze
Bait: razor and mackerel
Rigs: various (1 hook clip down, 2 hook flappers at my end)
Results: 1 coalie to Pete
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: Fished our current favourite venue (mine and Pete's anyway- hasn't endeared itself to the others so far) meeting around 9ish. Got there to find Paul tackling down as himself and Michael were losing tackle to the weed. When Pete got down we decided to move down the coast and try another mark. Unfortunately it was also weeded out, so we returned to the original beach and found a relatively clear spot further up - always pays to try other spots on the beach.
The sea was flatter than we would have liked for this mark, but we persevered. Pete got a coalie in close quite quickly, but that was it. I think we were all varying the distances we were fishing at, but it was very quiet, no other knocks etc, which is unusual for this mark. Bit of trouble with weed later on, but not too bad.
