planned to fish this mark all week when the tides came right. arrived to bright sunshing and a very gentle nw breeze, began working my way along tht beach and after 15mins and couple of dozen casts got a savage take from what seemed a good fish. after 4/5 mins i was rewarded with a bass of about 4lbs. nice start. had another good take 5 mins later but missed him. fished on to the gulley where a space in the rocks creats a big tidal eddy. first cast here i retrieved my fly to the point where the leader knot was in the tip eye. while the fly sat there i thought i saw a fish take it, thinking i was imagining it i just tighteded to recast and a small schooley of about a pound and a hlf shot off the other direction, 10 seconds later he came off. i recast and got nailed by his twin. 10 yards further i had another good take but this fish faught alot harder than the initial bass making my think he may have been a 6/7 pounder. first run he took me 5 yards into the backing. from here on it was a stuggle to turn him. eventually i got his head up and beached him.surprisingly he was only about 3lbs. one more missed take and that was it for my morning.
p.s from the pics you'l see i'm quite wet.the area i got the second and third bass from is infront of big slabs of rock which you have to wade to about 2 feet, when a small swell comes in this raises to 3+ fees and tend to be breaking so you end up getting drenched, its worth it though
