Report:
Finally got to Roches Point (Thank You Pat!).
Tried with the silver lure, got nothing.
Switched to jelly worm, got nothing.
Switched to a rig that someone in Co. Sligo gave me. It's like hokkais, small hooks (x5) with a luminous green bead and a luminous green krill/shrimp imitation. I think it's a brand from N. Ireland. With this I got two pollack in the first three casts, went on to have a very lively 20 minutes or so before sadly having to leave due to not wanting to have to camp under Roches Point Lighthouse for the night :)

Glad to see you finally made it. Looks like the fishing wasn't too bad - although the fish were a bit on the small side. Try an orange redgill or even an ammo sandeel lightly tied with elastic thread. Have had fairly decent pollack on these before. Also good wrasse fishing with rag & crab.

Hello Pat,
I have no doubt there are bigger fish there, and variety too.

I was lucky to be able to get there and get some fishing in before dark. Your hints will be used for my next visit!
