i'd say it would be a great spot to anchor up in the middle. i know of a few spots that (should) produce tope, but as usual will be hit and miss..

i'm sure if you offer me a lift/trip in a boat :D i'll show you the marks :D :D

was a nice huss midget caught.. nearly bigger than him too
i had a few big bites but nothing came of them

I'd say you'd be lucky to catch any fish from Dave's boat at the moment, unless there are any swimming around in the back yard! Not going far any time soon either, as the wheel fell off the trailer! Nice huss fishinmidget. I spent five fruitless hours on the beach behind Blackrock diving platform yesterday afternoon. The wind destroyed my soul.

Hi Midgit ,
I used to fish the same mark about 18 years ago and the walk to it was a the worse bit. I used to fish up tight around the narrow gulley bit . Stick with it cause it was my best fishing mark during 2 years of fishing all over from blackhead to killary harbour .In those days galway ended at the hotel by ballybane . In those days there was not many other anglers around and i very rarley saw anyone else fishing there .Tight lines

weeman - very interesting to hear your view on the mark - i wouldnt say there is much pressure on it still

mind you the pier up the way can get very busy with the mack about

when you speak of fishing tight at the gulley part is that to the east?

cheers
