Tide:Various stages
Weather:Mostly good
Bait:Fresh Lug and scabby mack
Rigs:lures,floats and bottom
Results:Pile of Pollack,1 coalie,1 Ballan Wrasse,1 Fluke and a goby-type fish
Catch and Release:: Yes/bar the coalie
Report:
Spent the week in Culdaff with the clang on hols and got away fishing a coupla times.
First stint was on the rocks at the far end of the beach spinning but only managed 3 small pollack.
Next one was on the pier after digging a pile of lug up the estuary.
Mainly floats for the kids and bottom for myself and the bros.
Float-fished lug accounted for the small wrasse(first I`ve seen here for a long time) and a few small pollack with a 2lber by far the biggest.
The coalie and fluke fell to lug and mack.
Did a bit of searching and think the goby was a blenny,no pic but it`s head was about half it`s body length and it was brown, cught down the side of the pier.
