People: Just meself

Duration: 6:45pm to 8:30pm

Tide: Flooding

Weather: breezey and overcast

Bait: frozen Sand eels

Rigs: Used a bass buster plug and baited the hooks with sand eels

Results: 1 bass

Catch and Release: Yes

Report: Headed to the car park by the golf coarse about 6:30pm Mrs Dobber was happy out in the car with the puzzle book so grabbed my gear and strolled along the shore line until I found a nice spot to fish from set up my gear and thought I'd give the bass buster a go then decided to bait the hooks with pieces of sand eel and began casting and retrieving at a fast pace about the third cast and litterally a few minutes into the session up popped a bass and grabbed the bait :), it was only about 12 feet away from me so not much of a fight but it was a lovely fish well over the 40cm keep limit but I decided to take a pic and release it hopefully it will grow to be a monster and I'll be back again to try and catch it. Spent another 1.5 hrs fishing the same area but no more joy and also managed to lose my bass buster plug when it got snagged  but still delighted to have caught my first bass and will try this area again next week so will keep you posted and will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to download it from my phone
Went into Listowel the following day to the tackle shop and bought a few new lures including a new bass buster and fished the same location around the same time the following day but still no joy nice spot though and enjoyed it all the same
