Tide:falling
Weather:Light s/w breeze
Bait:Freshly dug Lug and frozen Mackerel
Rigs:2 hook flapper and 1 clipped down
Results:5 L.S.D.s
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:Fished the point where the rocks jut out into the channel. Fished one rod at 20-40yrds 2 hook flapper with lug into the channel. Only action it seen was a slack liner moments after I put it in the stand; fish was momentarily on then off! on closer inspection of the trace the top was as blunt as a lump hammer!!
Rod #2 was fished at 100yds + and using 1 hook clipped down. Fillets of mackerel resulted in the 5 L.S.D.s.
Word of warning: There is a patch of dry sand separating 2 patches of damp looking sand at the end of the road where people usually park their cars, I usually park the car in the second damp looking sand but got stuck in the dry sand and had to be pulled out! And the guy that pulled me out said I was the second angler that day he pulled out! The S/W wind had put a couple of extra layers of sand over the road...so beware.
