family camping trip just happened to be to where i wanted to fish :o :)
absolutley baking weather, small tides, no wind, and six packets of the worst sandeels i've ever bought didn't bode well
first spot was on around the coast - there is a sign for rock fishing - there is a wee bay to the left which i though looked good before, gave this an hour or so as the tide turned to go out - blanked
back to the strand - probably close to low tide - got a small sea trout bout 3/4 lbish - covered in sea lice
one other jumped straight infront of me but no more takes
fished the tide coming in and got 1 nice mack on the mushy sandeel - and the promise of improving fortunes with proper bait
that nite had one doggie on mack.
next morning back round the coast to get a look at the signposted rockmark - straight in to very deep water - looks very snaggy, but 30mins spinning feathers got one small pollack
not bad fishing for such poor conditions ans still convinced this area could turn out some excellent fishing with good bait an the right conditions
