Tide:incoming

Weather:really wet!!!!

Bait:maks

Rigs:feathers, conger traces, rotton bottoms.

Results:mackeral, wrass, pouting, conger, launce, pollock

Catch and Release:: Yes, accept mackeral.

Report:Fished the rocks the week before and had congers to 16lb at least 60 pollock biggest about 1 1/2lb. But the mate left his MAG 525 EXTRA on the rocks, so having a boat trip booked for this week he had hoped to have found it lying where he left it........but no such luck! He was really gutted about the reel only to be told the boat was cancelled due to the weather. So we fished the rocks again getting more congers to 14 lb 2oz. loads of mackeral, 2 nice wrass ,a string of launce ,pollock after pollock and a few nice pouting. A nice mixed bag for a really bad rainny windy day.

Hi Stevie,

Firstly, sorry to here about your mate's reel, I'm sure he's gutted to say the least.

Secondly, I assume that was you boys fishng along Teelin Pier on Sat about 6pm. It looked as if you were trying your luck at some mullet? I've just stuck a report up re our trip on Sat and as you can see we had planned to fish the rocks at Teelin but in the end we didn't make it due to the rain - must be my worst trip to Donegal. Glad to see you had a good session though and Teelin does appear to be fishing well. I take it you were fishing the low rocks behind the factory, were they slippy / difficult in the conditions?

Yes that was us. Seen plenty of mullet but getting them to stop is a nightmare. Yes, fished the rear of the factory to the right a bit. Fished it low water upto an hour before high water as it was starting to get dangerous....wind right in your face. It was slippy but managable. It was the first time sea fishing for a cupple of the lads and they where soked to the skin. Glad i brought the float suit.
