Been working too much to fish this month - is it worth trying for a mackeral at Bundoron-Tullan cliffs this sat?

Bundoran is probably the same as it ever was.....a s*** hole

There are macs being caught in the bay Alan so shouldn't see why it wouldn't be worth a go

Hi Alan I'm prob to late posting this but you should really go to creevy instead its much better,

Rogey cliffs are about the best place to try in Bundoran, There are macks there at the mo but not in any big numbers yet . you also have a chance of some flats and ray using sandeel.

If you need any bait Conor up in the tackle shop on the main street will sort you out or you can try Reillys fish shop in Ballyshannon for fresh bait.

Hey Pete Bundoran aint to bad except on northern bank Holiday wk-nds o thats right this is a bank hol in the north

I fish Rogey and enjoy. Creevy is too busy in good weather but nice when quiet - and in winter. Apart from macs in the summer at Rogey, I have caught nothing much else here. What is your advice on flatties of the cliffs? - there is a strong current when the tide is changing and loadsac surfers.

Hi Alan yes ur rite abt the surfer duds but if you go around the road almost to the end there is like a dip in the road fish there and you are far enough away from the surf line so no hassle from the Shark baits

I don't fish there that often as it can be pretty crowded in summer with mack bashers but i have caught ray and Pollock from there on sandeel and mack fished hard on the bottom, i have caught a few dabs and some flounder there also.

The local salmon Fishermen always catch salmon along there and often get large colies and tope as a by-catch, it might be worth giving the tope a go around now you just never know??

If you go around to the other end of the walkway and head over to the diving board at low water, fishing out past the board into the deep water you will catch all of the above plus wrasse and have no hassle from anybody.

WARNING

On an incoming tide you can get cut off from the beach if you stay to long so keep an eye out also don't go anywhere near there if there is a NW wind blowing and the sea is up.
