People:One

Duration: 1 hour

Tide: ebbing, half

Weather: fine, v. gentle stir in sea

Bait: jelly worm (Storm Rattle Grub RG05)

Rigs:short trace

Results:second cast got a nice little pollack, let 'im back

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:

I'm looking hard for a couple of good pollack spots around these parts,(any PM or otherwise with advice would be gold dust to me).
Very pleased to get a decent little pollack on my second cast, then I noticed gannets dive bombing not far from me, so I switched tackle to see if macks were about (see Mack Reports... for the rest - i.e caught none).

Will be back for more pollack, bigger and better hopefully!

Best to go past the Long Strand and try for Galley Head, but be careful!

Hello Kieran,
Your piece in this months Irish Angler was a great help to me for around Rosscarbery, lots of options to choose from.
Galley Head seems a bit tricky alright!!
