Report:
I had intended to go to castlerock on the saturday but after a heavy night on the beer on friday I was in no shape for driving at all.
So I decided to set out for the painted rocks for high tide but of course I slept in .
I got there around 9.45 and was spinning for 10.00. I tried a few different spinners at various ranges.
The only knock came from a small pollock on a lead head.
I walked about a mile on round from the painted rock to try the various spots. There was a good swell in some places.

Next trip will coincide with a pushing tide.

I practised a couple of cast on the bay before heading off. I tried the reel down for a change. I was surpised at how flexible the rod feels with the reel down.
