People:me

Duration:12-2pm

Tide:dropping

Weather:lovely

Bait:rag

Rigs:sliding float, fished 10-12 feet

Results:5 coalies

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:i wasn't too optimistic about catching much as orlock has been fishing slow so far this year. but as the weather is so good at the minute i couldn't sit in the house. i didn't get a touch for half an hour then my float sunk under, i hit it and resulted in a nice wee coalie. my overall result of 5 fish didn't tell the story, every cast my float was going under and i missed alot of bites. on another day it could and should have been 20+ coalies but thats fishing sometimes. maybe my striking action is a little rusty from previous blanks. nothing massive to report, fish ranged from 24cm-32cm. good wee session. :D

hi drewk, only disappointing thing was i expected a few ballans around. i also believe the macks r close by so i should be entertained for awhile. its a great spot i have at orlock mate, when the fish come in u can really catch alot of fish. come the end of june there should be plenty of good codling hanging around too. i love the summer mate!

Only ever fished the two spots at Orlock Rab01 but both have given me resonable amounts of fish. Plenty of coastline to try and so close to home. I think it might be a regular spot during the summer even if its just a drop-in for 1/2 hr on the way to other marks. :D

i'm glad to c the fish in too mate. it'll just keep fishing better every week now. its such a handy spot to fish and even though some of the rocks will be covered with mackie bashers soon, they don't seem to wanna walk as far as my spot. i love the summer!! :D
