People:me

Duration:0900-1300

Tide:lw 0930

Weather:strong e/se wind

Bait:rag,peeler mack

Rigs:fixed pats

Results:2 ballan wrasse, 2 small pollack

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

was only able to get out for a few hours this morn so decided to try for a few wrasse and conger. easterly breeze seemed to put the fish down as i only had the 2 and not a huge amount of other bites although i did loose a better fish, also had 2 good runs on the conger rod but as has occured on the last 4 trips here there was no hook ups, starting to get quite frustrating.

here are a few pics from last nite and today.

ya its a pretty unexplorer headland, have yet to meet another angler on it. have made it a new years resolution to become better aquainted with it... appears to be producing results so far.

Similiar to you Lumpy, have only fished it once. That was in a total gale and involved an abseil down pretty sheer rock (won't be doing that again)!
But you are right, the boats always do well very close in and there are patches of sand as well as rock so its well worth digging into

definately, the area i'm fishing at the moment is easily accesable and provides miles of fishing if you are willing to hike. its relatively safe and parts of it are around 30-40ft deep so has huge potential.theres one mark i want to try later in the summer which has thrown up huss to 15+ lbs when we fished near their off the boat...
