People[/b Me, Jonny and Ronnie

[b]Duration
:A few days

Tide:

Weather:really hot!!!!!!!!

Bait:Fresh peeler, fresh shrimp, squid, mak, lug, herring, mussel, sandeel......

RigsSimple rotton bottom

Results:6 Bass, 1 ling, loads of wrass, pollock, coalfish, lots of maks, flounder and turbot

Catch and Release:: Yes all fish...

Report:Fished Culloo Rock first ,catching wrass upto 4lb on the shrimp. Loads of maks on the feathers also hitting pollock and coalies.
I then managed to hook a 3lb ling on a herring ment for conger. The tides were ready and Kevin had us on one of his favourite marks for the Bass. Within 15 mins. i had my first bass ever and it felt amazing it weighed in at 3lb and was photoed about 10 times........ with a half hour to go i hooked into my second bass of 5lb.....with smiles all round it was time to call it a night. With red faces and white eyes where the shades had been on all day we headed down for a feed of food and beer in Waterville. Next day we went for Mullet where Henry Gilbey filimed the Kerry episoed. Hundreds of mullet but could we hook the buggers.........no we could not! So we tryed a different mark were we had better luck...sort of... landing a 3lber by me and a 5lber which snaped Jonnys Quantram spinning rod,but he was able to skillfully hand line the bad boy in. Agian it was time for the bass, fishing the same mark Kevin had showen us the day before i had another bass within 30mins. weighing 8lb it was photoed about 20 times... before being put back to fight another day. Ronnie then had two bass upto 2 1/2lb, all bass were caught on fresh peeler. I then had another about 1 1/2lb. Anyone that would like to fish down there i would highly reccomend Kevins guidance and B&B. Check out his web site at http://WWW.KBFISHINGIRELAND.CO.UK.
We then moved on to County Claire, Bridges of Ross. This rock mark produced wrass to 3lb and pollock to 2 1/2lb. Next stop was a beach called Dougmore Strand, here Jonny had one flounder and one small turbot, current was very strong and a 6oz gripper kept moving. All in all we all had a fantastic weeks fishing and the weather was great wot more could we ask for.............................................................................

Kevin charged us 120 euro for the day which in my eyes was value for money! Knowing the place your fishing is so important, and what we learnt in a day probely took Kevin years. The B&B he also runs was 30 euro a night. And just to add..... the breakfast was amazing!!!

Nice to see you enjoyed yourself in our neck of the woods. :D
I forget sometimes how lucky I am to live in Kerry but am soon reminded after a good bass session.
So far this year seems to be one of the best for bass.
Tope should be in soon aswell :D
