Weather:overcast s /westerly a few heavy showers

Bait:rag,mack,sandeel.

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:6 flounder,1 coalie and a big brute of a spider crab

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:all flounder were small between 15-22cms.the coalie was 24.
I thought i had a ray on after a good pull and plenty of weight but it turned out to be a spider crab of around 4lbs :lol:

Jonboy I got fooled by big spider crabs before :oops: , big awkard feckers you think your winching a good fish ashore only for a rake of arms and claws to break surface :lol:

Pete there seems to be more of them about in recent years i don't recall ever catching one as a youngster.

never seen then about culdaff before it new to me and i have been fishing that beach about 13 years

I got a bloody great brute of a spider last year from the pier tasted lovely :lol: :lol:

i would check out the second flattie from the left,its eyes are on the right hand side the others are on the left its probably a plaice
