Meself and the misses went down to tullagh for a few hrs and met up with Jonboy who had been there since 1200hrs there were 4 others fishing also
Jonboy had caught 2 Flounder when he arrived but nothing since, the other anglers were doing much better and had quite a few Flounder/Dabs between them

I set up with 3 rods 1 in close 1 out 60mtrs and 1 as far as i could get it.
Nothing happened for a long time and John kept telling me he hadn't seen it as bad for ages.
I kept trying different baits and rigs but no good. Then around 1900hrs while John was over talking to me BANG BANG i got a double 1 flounder nd 1 dab both small on the rod at 60mtrs, Somebody was very peeved guess who.gTen minutes later on the close rod i got a small Dab.
after abt 5 min i got another double on the 60mtr rod Dab nd Turbot both 22cm I was chuffed as this was my first Turbot.
That was it for the rest of the session apart from slagging Jonboy as he didn't catch any more fish by the way did ye know that John was born and reared not 50mtrs from this beach.

I knew i was in for a slagging from you you bollox :lol: :lol: actually it was 3 flounder (34,37,37)But it was the slowest days fishing i've had for a long while.I spent too much time chatting to the lads and not enough on the fishing.but the craic was good, i don't often meet too many anglers on the beaches around here.

Hi Jonboy you must be the best angler i know cause not only dose your fish grow in numbers overbite but they also get bigger :lol: :lol: :lol:
