Finally I bring my car to Ireland so I can go to more distant venues. I meet a guy that I was known only from Internet forums and together we drive to his mark in Ventry. I was happy, landing my first dogfish ever.
Is that true that it could bite you and because of bacterias that are living in its mouth you will get bad infection? That's what I heard from this guy?

are you talking about dystemper - dont think the doggies can give you that
the way ive seen anglers handling doggies and unhooking them - makes me think the chances of infection - are very slim/non existant
well done on the first doggie

Caught a lot of Doggies and can honestly say never been bitten by any of them. I think yer man might have been pulling your leg a bit Tomaszek..... :D
The skin is the most dangerous part on a doggie especially summer fishing in shorts and tshirts as if they wrap around you they can give you a nasty graze. As far as bites are concerned....naaaa!
