Tullagh beach , Inishowen Co Donegal 16/4/07

Duration:2 hrs

Tide:full

Weather:lovely

Bait:mackerel,sandeel,squid.

Rigs:wishbone.2 hook flapper

Results:3 flounder,1 turbot

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report:went out with the intentions of staying for 4 hrs or so only to discover that the frozen mack i'd bought was crap it looked like it had been thawed and refrozen at least twice :evil: Luckily i had a few from Sainsbury's that were in better condition but had to shorten the session considerably
the beach is still fishing well for this time of year and the fish in great condition(flounders 36,39,40. turbot 38.
Fished Leenan pier the previous day for a few hours it was tough enough going i caught 1 small flounder and a tiny thornback.

Well done i was down at the pier but to much traffic there, so went exploring, never felt so warm up there in April, have you ever fished round at Doagh Island?

Heading into Inishowen now. Don't know exactly where yet though! :lol:
