Hi lampoon thanks for the mark took 3 ray between two of us there last night on the prawn they averaged only 3lb but a ray is a ray.

you get them down the side of harbour walls get some old fish and put it in a drop net lower it down the wall for a few mins and pull it up as fast as you can.

I hope these ray were returned? :evil: There are few Ray in Dublin and there are signs of an attempt at a come back. RETURN ALL FISH!

fair play to you. i am not against people taking an odd fish for the table but it's always great to here people putting a few back. sea-angling can be 'doom and gloom' enough. nice one.

:D have desperetly for a ray for a long time.please could you tell me where this mark is.have tried a lot of places with no luck

Glenaveena is the beach left of Lion's Head. Lion's Head is the large rock which is visable from the Baily Lighthouse when looking towards the Dollymount direction.

dph:glenevana is a decent spot for ray and smooth hounds as well.but you have to have a good cast say 100yards

nice a nice beach to get to though! have been there before with a friend and there were casualties! anyone know the most desirable way down to this beach?? i approached it from the lion's head.
