Report:cracking day weather wise but the fishing was dire.the venue just left of the firing range definetly has potential to throw up a bass,maybe still a bit early :?:

Nice to see a report from Gormanstown Skip, please keep posting as you fish these beaches. What was sea conditions like.
HC, Gormanstown, is further North of Rush, just below Laytown beach on the map. This is a very shallow beach, so should fish a bit better in an easterly.
BTW, I once seen a Bass caught by hand on Rush beach. The fish had stranded it's self in one of the shallow pools of water when chasing prey fish. That was about 10 years ago though.

I dig my lug on that beach hairy, never really fished it doh. i was down there at a really low tide last week and theres loads of kelb beds not that far out it looks ideal for bass!!! fished it once and got 2 small flats

Sure we could give it a go in the evening/night for awhile. ide say it would fish better in the dark. ive a few other spots but haven fished them in a long time.

just a tip lads,there was plenty of razor shell on the beach on sunday so it mite be worth bringing a couple to try

Bass will move in soon and will come to rag. The flats can be big and come to rag tipped with razor. Go at low water and look for channels and fish rising tide only it not a low water mark at all.
