Report:
Had a day off on wednesday so decided to head up to dunree for a look. Was trying fish baits at range to see if there were any dogs about yet and had the three biggest flounder of the day doing this, all over 40cm! Unfortunately no sign of doggies or ray yet.
Couple of photos to whet the appetite of those heading up next weekend.

Couple of smaller flounder in close on it tipped with mac. Reckon the mac would have worked as well on its own here tbh.

Nice one Sean. The sprog has settled down a little in the last few days and I've been doing the cooking, so I should have enough brownie points for the weekend...... Hopefully

I know how you feel Kev - I'm due out on a club outing in a few weeks and I am gathering up the brownie points as much as possible. I've become the fastest nappy changer this side of Kansas.....
BTW - great session Sean.

You can catch flatfish at your feet at times, especially when it's dark.
I remember reading on here a while back someone had a baited trace prepared at hanging from his rod rest. The tide had come up past the rod rest and when he went down to move it back, he found a flounder hanging off one of the snoods on the spare trace!

How are ya fintan. There wasnt much of a tide run at all. Wouldnt fish it without a couple of grippers in the tackle box anyway just in case.

Get off my beach the lot of ye...
For years I had the beach to myself, now I look out the window and all I see is bobble hats and tripods.
I want me beach back, you do know that is private land you TRESPASS on accessing the beach.
Seriously folks, it's good to see people fishing there, maybe if I see you all there again, I'll bring down the tea, if I'm not fishing that is. 8)
