i havent fished that exact spot mate but i would expect it to produce flounder like everywhere else around holywood. i think it might be early for this beach to produce. from memory it only starts to fish from late april/may. ragworm was always the best bait here though they will take strips of mackerel also.

What size do they run to Rab??

i've had them to about 2 1/2 pound drew, but u really get pestered by the small ones which is probably the bites that round ourway was getting and could'nt strike into. i've caught ones the size of a 50p coin before!!!

i'll also add that holywood is probably the best beach i know for mullet if that floats yer boat. they're jumping all round u in the summer months. i know a few spots with having grown up fishing here and i'll let post a report when the fishing gets good.

towards belfast chum. the good thing about mullet is they will show themselves so u will stumble among them. but from kinnegar towards belfast is the spot. good luck!!!
