Weather:nice and with a full moon and little cloud cover it was bright
Bait:everything, frozen lug, mackerel, squid, rag, crab, sandeel

Results: bigliam got one coalie, mevr147 blanked and I finished with 3 flounders all took rag and a codling which took forzen lug
Catch and Release:: Yes/No two deep hooked fished died while unhooking all others were released to grow bigger
Report: after the northern meet fell though I was going fishing anyway and after speaking to merv and Liam we headed to cushendun beach( my apologies to lucky angler, missed your pm due to a meeting in work) I arrived late and wasn't long in setting up, with little cloud cover the beach was bright so I guess the fish would be at distance. Started off with big baits as far as i could cast, the hooks came back bare, the crabs were feasting. Liam was the first to land a fish, a small coalie, after that the fishing was slow. Began to scale down hooks and rigs, ended up on a 3 hook flapper with size 2 hooks, started to fish close in and was having no luck, so cast as far as I could ( thanks to UCC for the extra 25 yards). This extra distance that I can now cast to got me a small flounder, followed half an hour later with a small codling, after that the fishing went quiet. Merv and Liam decided to pack up and head, it wasn't merv's night, no bites followed by a crack off summed off his night, I know the feeling as it happens to me a lot. As they packed up I hooked another small flounder, this was followed by lots of small bites but no takers, so I put on the size 2 hooks and landed another small flounder at 17cm. The bites dried up and I went home, all in all I enjoyed this session as the craic was great and I began to practice match fishing techniques and was able to catch a few fish. Met a few new faces on the beach and didn't catch your names, maybe I will meet you both again and we can chat longer.
