Then disregard any thought of not posting pics![]()
Then think of all the small fish caught in nets and dumped dead over the side of most commercial boats because they are not big enough, benefiting only the seagulls!!
Bloody seagulls, taking all those small fish, they should be ashamed![]()
I personally think someone should do something about these gulls, a petition might work, i'd try anything once![]()
After that, we can move onto to pesky anglers, catching fish and then (OMFG) keeping them to eat - bast%rds!!!
Then maybe we can vent our anger on the poor commercial fisherman, who does no harm, doesn't catch too many fish, does absolutely no harm to the sea bed with drag nets or by dredging , they dont use flat fish and dog fish as pot bait or illegally catch Bass ( this never happens ) and they do not dump their excess catch before coming ashore - i was obviously hallucinating when i saw this last year in Ballycotton- these poor souls who have never shot cormorants or seals for stealing their fish - again i was obviously hallucinating about the several times commercial skippers have gleefully recounted tales of such actions.
But first the seagulls
Then people like you who go fishing DELIBERATELY TARGETING FISH
And finally those poor commercial fishermen who have never netted Youghal or Monkstown
Did i join this site because i enjoy catching fish and wanted to read about this activity
OR
Did i join this site so that i could lecture people about KEEPING FISH THAT THEY AND THEIR FAMILY WILL EAT
I should have a long THINK!! about this.
I should also NOT congratulate someone for catching fish IN THE SHORE REPORTS SECTION ON A SEA ANGLING SITE.
Obvious when i think about it really
But one thing is for certain
THE NEXT TIME I SEE A SEA GULL, I AM GOING TO GIVE IT A PIECE OF MY MIND.
(oh and on a side note i will be using a nick name, then be brave and make comments and get offended when someone disagrees with me)
( and on another side note, i must stop hallucinating, if i cant, then i'd better see a doctor, because they are fairly vivid hallucinations and i am starting to worry
)

ammount of Cod/Codling being kept,as if you think about it all those cod, bar 2 or 3 for the
table were returned alive then how many offspring would they have had if still alive, which
would help preserve and protect future stocks,as oneday when you go fishing in the future year's and
don't get a bite or a fish(cod) maybe you will look back and think (IF ONLY)!!!!!!
Thats all i have to say apart from please in future Think!!!!!
Thankyou

It annoys me more to look at some donkey posting up pictures on this website showing how many undersize fish hes caught and bragging about it than someone who has had a good nights fishing catching fish that are big enough to eat.
As for ya man moaning about how many boxes of fish the trawler he works on hasnt caught....jog on!
havent got any sympathy for commercial fisherman who think its okay to come in close to shore, wreck the sea bed and take undersize fish out of the sea only to throw them back in dead, the majority of problems the pleasure angler has with lack of fish are down to (Mod Edit) you and your employer.

. at least im honestkilling all those fish and then putting it on the site for all to see is asking for trouble
that reputation comes from killing loads of undersize fish for the table and a few of our own do that also .we've all been moaning about foreigners fleecing our waters but its ok for one of our own to do it
its ok because it was my choice to do it ,it might not be ok with you so if ever your in that situation dont do ithow do you think this sort of thing is ok .simply because it suits .monkey see monkey do and theres a lot of them in this country
i agree with you there but thats not my problem i put myself up here to take it on the chin and who said i was Irishwonder how this would have went down if it had been a foreigner posting.
are you so sure about that plumster maybe pay a visit to your local harbour .this is our country and our waters and the more we perserve it the better the fishing we'll have
strangely enough all i got was tiddlers last yearlook at the Bass fishing ,its probably at its best, might even be better next year and thats down to a lot of hard work, same goes for the cod but if you all adopt the same attitude then it will wiped out and back to catching tiddlers next year.
i never said i kept that catch to survivewe dont fish to survive we fish for pleasure so wake up
