Mackerel Reports '10 here......

Cork Harbour 17/05/10 (Boat)
Had plenty mackerel in the outer harbour area.

Had a few off the rocks near kinsale last nite

None off Brownstown Head, Waterford yesterday evening 17th

was in mulranny on sat no mack but 4 ickle pollock/colin

Had a few of em out from Roches Point last night (boat). Very patchy though.

any from galway area yet?

yes was out of spiddle monday with kevin hard to find but we got about 40 or so still hard to find them

yeah, same story yesterday, very patchy but we got half a box full at the end around Rossaveal between 4 and 5pm, saw 2 trawlers working the bay

Got three good Mackerel Thursday, plenty about just out of casting range !!

Did a bit of spinning in Dalky during the week. Nada. going a bit further out tomorrow.

Just starting to show in North Clare, from the shore, thats if the trawlers dont hoover them all up.

Fished Ardglass below golf course for an hour Saturday morning at first light for nil return. When they appear i'll only need the one early morning session here to fill the bait freezer, hopefully .

No Macks from shore at Greystones yet, was out first light last Saturday, perfect conditions, only Coalies about, was the same last year and they came about in small numbers first week June.

2 hours at Balscadden Howth tonight - about six lads fishing for mackerel, saw 1 landed

Two boats on Dundalk Bay yesterday - no macks.

I got 50 + last Monday the 17th from Cleggan. Nothing the rest of the week though.
