dont know much about the shore record but 2 years ago ian knight had one bigger than her from the shore,, to it was a cracker of a fish just unreal to see,

thats a nice tope there!!! ive never caught a tope :( i want to catch one. i might try killiney beach or graystones for one. has anyone have any luck for tope in killiney or graystones?

hi aaron il set up a meet with you sometime if you want for killiney, have got pups there before up to around 6lbs this year i intend to bag at least a 20lb'er , the tides next weekend look good.

The shore record was caught from Newquay Co Clare in the channel around 500 m from Linnanes pub and restaurant which is around 15 miles from Ballyvaughan.
It was 60 something lbs.
Its strange the tope must migrate to the east coast during the winter as they are not reported as being caught in the west coast during the winter as far as I know.
