good on you cortaz for changing your ways. in my opinion killing 60 sea trout was excessive for any period, ten years ago or 50 years ago. but i am sure you know that, and i am not trying to preach.

bass boy i think if you are going to put pictures up on a public forum you have to accept that you may be questioned over it (i have been). i dont think gearoid was ranting, i think he had a right to make a comment.

excessive killing of fish by rod and line has contributed towards the decline in sea trout, and some people are angered by that. posting an excessive picture like that was perhaps always going to illicit such a response, and maybe even deserved such.

in late setember this yr. on the lower blackerwater there was what can only be described as a kill frenzy, with many anglers? takeing 10/12 salmon per day. the baillifs were around and tryed to do there job.
however the anglers? used mobiles phs. to keep tabs on them, i found 5 hidden in a sack and kept them.
these are the guys who helped get the d.nettin banned, and are always goin on about poachin, makes me wonder why.
this yr. i again released over 90% of the bass i got thats well over 400 fish and in the last 3 yrs. released well over 1000 bass. inc. a good few over 10lb.
i agree somewhat with those who question my catch/release ratio, and from next yr. will let back 95+%.
