Nice one Keith. Drop me a line when your thinking of one of these trips. I'd be well up for it if the brownie points are high enough.

Best form de wall was over the 10lb mark but have lost biger.
When fishing de wall you a casting (160yds.) out into 70 feet of water at about 30yds. out the you hit the rock. The cod just keep their heads down and you end up getting snagged. Lost plenty of thumpers in it , always use clipdown pulley rigs.
Best cod from the shore was a 13.5lb Caught in Ballinwilling during a major blow. For anyone who knows the venue I fished from the car park because of the big sweel that was running.
Best cod on mussel was a 9.5lb fish at Monatrea (opposit Youghal town) 4 or 5 years ago.

Finished 2nd. in a munster closed leg on the 17th had 5 cod. 24 cod were caught on the night with the biggest at 59cm would not be far off the 5lb mark.

Met an old grey haired lad on tramore beach one day. He said a good few years ago he caught an 18lber off tramore beach. Good luck with trying to catch one.I think ill stick to the 2-3 lbers down at the river.
