Lovely fish well done I had one about the same size as yours out on the boat with joe in courtown,they really go well,fair play for getting it on from the shore

Great catch Alan, had intended trying there myself the last few weeks but I cant catch any fresh mackeral....I think the tope would be easier at this stage :lol:

Alan, I know they tend to head off out to open water but if they outpace your winding down at any point and turn towards the shore it is all too easy for them to pick up the leader and slice through it. Cracking fish and I know you put hours in last year for it. Your weight estimate looks about right to me did you measure it? I have an excellent length to weight conversion formula.
