Zero macks in skerries, but no bashers about which was great, had to stop a teenage girl from throwing my bait to the seals as the parents looked on and didn't do a thing and not even an apology ,there is macks about though

Was fishing at the back of the docks in Galway during the week and caught about 20 in 2 hours. Also seen lads pulling in full strings yesterday evening at Nimo's Pier. They seem to be around in decent numbers at the moment (macs and bashers).

Went yesterday to fish from Nimmo's Pier, in Galway. Tide was at max around 21.30
Plenty of baitfish around the shore. I could see some sea gulls or similar birds picking up baitfish rather far from shore, but finally macks arrived, but just for a few minutes. It looked like watching some tropical fishing movie, water boiling, birds diving, bait fish jumping in to the air. But than it was over in less than 5 minutes. Another 45 minutes without any sign of fish, and then they came. Got around ten of them, that was what I needed, but watched some guys taking 4-5 of them with every cast and packing them to buckets, then there were more buckets...
But yes, they are in Galway, plenty of them.

Was down in Ballycotton for a few hours last Tueday evening, not a sniff of one. The same evening was chilly and misty- would that have anything to do with it?
Also had a couple of FNs taking tiny pollock for themselves
