I have been to a lot of Master Anglers over the years and this has to go down to being the best run Master Angler ever, well done to the Courtown angling association, they got everything right, and had a bucket on your peg to keep your fish in.
They even had transport to your peg for your gear now that's a nice touch. There was no running up and down the beach looking for stewards there was two for every 7 anglers. Well done again to the lads it was great to see everything run smoothly.
It's a great pity it wont be remembered for that it will be remembered for a mother of all f**k up's a simple mistake which will have a major impact on the anglers involved, this should not have happened it is a crime against anglers, and what's going to be done about it diddly squat!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( the same could happen next year )
Yes mistakes can be made but this was simple maths 1+1=2 should their not have been someone doing the scores that could count?????
Imagine checking something six times and not copping on it was wrong even though they were told it was a mistake.
Well done to Alan on his win he is having a great run of success this year and a pity it was marred by a stupid mistake.
To Joe and Alan don't let this F**k up take from your great performances the weekend take strength and move on.

Well done to Alan on his win he is having a great run of success this year

Here here, superbly run event. CSAA should take a bow, they even arranged for the fish to play ball

The way the competition was run is a credit to the Courtown club.
They set a new standard in organising a master angler shore event which other clubs will have to follow
After fishing a few masters I have found that the anglers have a very good idea of how the final results are going to work out.
This was an accident waiting to happen.
Aghada S.A.C. sent in a motion 3 weeks ago for this years i.f.s.a. agm, it read a follows
“The full results be displayed for all sessions of the master angler boat and shore championship to include the number of fish and points scored by each competing angler”
Get your club to support this motion.
I’m not fully sure yet of the circumstances of the error but posting the fish points the number of fish caught and the zone position of each angler after each session may show up any errors that could be made.

by far the best run master angler event of the last ten years well done to all concerned in courttown angling the stewards and everyone involved.
the farce that followed an excellent weekends angling was an insult to all the anglers involved particularly joe and alan who both put in stunning displays over the three sessions. unfortunatley though it is not surprising that such a mistake was made as most of the 'heirarchy' of the ifsa are non anglers who are only involved to boost their self inflated egos and to avail of all expense paid junkets around the country, they have little or no respect for ordinary match anglers especially shore anglers or the countless clubs and individuals who try to support, improve and promote match angling in ireland.
well done muller on your brilliant victory and well done to joe on such a brilliant performance

Well done Mull.
It`s brilliant to see the trophy staying in the village.
Well done to the courtown club. It was certainly the best run masters I have ever been to and as the dominator says above it has set a new standard on how a masters should be run.I hope all that follow will match your effort and planning.
And as for the carnage that followed..................................... this should never have happened and there are plans afoot to insure this type of thing never happens again.
Disgraceful is the only word I can think of to discribe the situation. The anglers new the results coming off the beach how did the lads with the calculators get it wrong?????????????
