kerry & donegal. not what we expected 19th - 22nd august

Bad luck on the rod and car mate , and congrats on a brilliant Donegal trip .

World Sea Fishing wont post rods to N.Ireland, but check out the Belfast Angling Centre. I think they were doing the Salt at around the same price not so long ago (even if its a bit deared, you wont be paying postage )

well done on get a few but dont talk about bad luck with cars we had a nightmare down there 2 years ago and had to be towed back to dublin at a cost of 400 euro but if you are heading back down you can get bait in the sport shop in dingle thay do all sort of frozen bait and a bit of gear keep your chin up and i hope you luck is in for the next while

Did you try the guys at Village Tackle, they're normally fairly resourceful in getting spare parts. On one occassion they even lent me a rod until my replacement section arrived.

hi alan. gave them a buzz and sadly no luck there . looks like i'll just have to wait for someone to break a bottom section and buy the top half off them

thanks ivan. sure it would'nt be us without some miss hap on the cards but we came good in the end and donegal was the buisness

shame about your rod and motor that some bad luck but 200 fish after all this is bright in the darknes Al, so well done you 3 great report and the pictures

gotta say, that list has me feeling envious, I haven't seafished in so long!! My species list stoppped growing back in May!!! GOnna try rectify that within the next month hopefully..

cheers daire. our fishing has been put on the back burner for the last fortnight or so as i've had loads on with my mates wedding, work and diy around the house. only been out twice in the last 2 weeks . starting to get the jitters

thanks alan. every now and again we have the odd blip with the motor. but considering the mileage we clock up in it i suppose it's no surprise i think we've clocked up over 50,000 miles on it over the last 3 years and taking into account she's over 10 years old parts will fail every now and again. all the more reason to start looking around for a camper van

not to worry man. i have fishing buddys in scotland and england, so postage is never a problem but i was looking at the one in belfast angling center and harry always sorts me out with a good price i'd rather put the money in his till than buy off the internet when prices are competitive
