I thought it was illegal to target sea trout during the close season. Even in saltwater.


As far as I know you are still required by Law to have the State Licence when targeting them (even if Sea Angling). I would go as far as to suggest using Circle hooks if targeting them so as to give them a greater % chance of survival on their return.

Then again maybe they were just Brown trout washed down by the recent floods ;)

your dead right kaner,you do need a licence to fish for salmoniods,and bar one all the fish were lip hooked.
