another change of plan, this is getting ridiculous.
we were going to come 12th aug till 22nd aug because that was the only time one person could make it, but now he has pulled out we can go anytime between say july 22ndish till late august. we want to go for 10 days. im wondering what would be the best 10 day period to come, considering tides and all that? any suggestions would be great cheers

Here you go check out this link
http://www.iol.ie/~bobmoss/ judging by your replys on this thread you would be better off getting in contact with Bob he is your only man for getting information on where to fish tidal conditions etc he is the guy Mus from Dingle was mentioning to you

re culoo rocks valentia.
if you are after big fish you must try this spot.
feathers for mackeral, pollack on large spinners ie 2oz costers or larger.
this mark has extremely deep water.fish to left into a small bay for conger
best we have seen was 35lb but have be unable to lift several fish.
straight out from rocks, bull huss son caught one at 14lb.wrasse up to 9lb.
cuckoo wrasse, lsd, cod to 9lb,gurnard red and gray.use fish bait for eels and dogs.lug catches a larger variety of fish.be very carefull as can be extremely dangerous.most locals feather for mackeral and they think its funny if you bait fish.because its so deep there is only fine red weed you will get 9 out of 10 traces back.twice i have watched a shark cruise past at 30yrds out the must follow the mackeral shoals.its like boat fishing a 100mtr cast and your line just goes straight down.we use abu 7000lds with 28lb sylcast 5oz lead holds at slack water grip lead breakaways better when tide runs you lose less tacle

cool, cheers for the info.
not very strong tides then? down here you need to use 7oz grips on a fairly large tide at marks that are 25ft deep. sounds good
