Cazbass, I mite of exaggerated a bit with the 10 points per fish it is usually 5 points most places  . But that is still 2.3 times the score with 5 points per fish. I think my example is at one end of the extreme all the same.

I wounder how accurate the SAMF length to weight conversion system is. Does a flounder of 40cm weight more than 4 of 20cm. I think possibly it does.

With the SAMF (Sea Anglers Match Federation) system I suppose the angler with the heaviest bag wins but obviously there is no weight in and all fish are returned. I can't argue with the quality of angler that are getting results at the Daiwa Irish Pairs. Hope to do alot better this year about 70 places better

As I am relatively new to angling all I know is measure and return with the longest total winning, but anglers who have been fishing since the 70's and 80's and maybe before when there were alot of decent fish around have a natural tendency towards the heaviest bag.

Fishless Frank I think I know who you are but your date of birth has thrown me off a bit. I have sent you a PM.
