I take it your talking about the point beside the wee cave for the pollack ,I've been thinking of trying there ,just never got around to it ,prob get out at lw and stay there for the duration though it looks like you could scramble around if you had to
As you say its a beach rarely fished due to the unease of access ,which is good as it keeps the pi**heads away (no drink = less rubbish) going to hit it hard this year with the lures, fly rod and tent  and see what appears .

One of those points you can only get onto on low tide, "little" jump across a gulley though. The others you'll be kayaking it!

The Ballintoy end of the beach might be your better bet for fly, plenty of rocky areas with some weed and plenty of crabs etc there. The rocky parts between Ballintoy harbour and the beach did hold few bass in the gullies at times, though never got that many, maybe still does. Good mullet there, seen a few which could possibly have gone double figures! We used to feed them bread every couple days at same time to get them in close, though the bloody terrier would jump in at first sight of one!! :x

Also try wading around the little shingle beach at Portbradden and fish with your fly along the weed bed towards the harbour, seen decent pollock taken on fly there and always the chance of a nice sea trout.

Yep no piss heads which is good!! only thing the youth hostel end can get a tad busy with the visitors, though it has its plus points as if the weather/water is not to cold, the scenery can be quite good

anyway i'm off to bed, been watching the footie on the net, it's after 2am down here.

Here's a taster from one of my local beaches last week, 18kg of spanish mackerel!
Took couple of 200m + runs!!! Now i need to get hooked up to one.

Well done on the big 5-0 Ronald.

You had some good fish there for having no worms and fishing in daylight.
