Often caught pollock with pipe fish in them. Looks like the bass enjoy the same menu

whenever ive fished surf beaches i have found pipe fish in the stomachs of fish especially bass

goin out later, do i go for bass or cod...bass,bass,bass :P .down to my last 8 razors gona make each 1 count... :) after that i am goin to start using oysters, wopnder will they be as good.

cortaz i see by the date on the pick you are still going out on the same day off the year :lol: how do you pack it all in to one day :!: can you not turn off the date bet one of the local kids could show ya :lol: :lol: nice bait presentation what bass could turn away from that :wink: or cod come to think about it

suppose its worth mentioning that almost all bass i get on the above trace are lipped hooked, quite a few on the top hook!. which makes it very easy to unhook/release. i think what also helps to "liphook" is to let out some slackline (6ft.) after casting and allowing the fish to hook themselve. you shoud still see all bites, leave it till u think the fish is hooked/moving off with the bait, then smartly reel down then when you feel pressure stop, lift the rod both down wind and tide (if practical) until you feel the fish :P ., you are now in control :)

Will be staying just outside Youghal. Will be over on 24th. Hopefully we can meet up some time as I am over until the new year.

Santa's promised me a couple new rods !!!!
