Just fished the high tide at Greystones (rocks behind the pier). Not one mackeral caught. Used german sprat and feathers. Anyone had any luck at this spot? I might fish the high tide for a few days in a row and see if I get any .....

The Bridges of Ross in Clare is fishing slow for mackerel, i met 3 of my friends there on thursday they had been fishing from 11am untill 5pm and had only 20 fish, i fished alongside them for an hour and caught 4 it would have been 6 but the seal that hangs around there plucked my last 2 off one at a time,
a word of warning if you plan to fish there the seal is always around and has in the past got tangled up on my mates 80lb braid the silly man would have been pulled in only for the quick action of the guy next to him cutting the braid, my advice is adjust the drag to suit and keep a firm grip while reeling in fish,

Popped down to Newcastle (Wicklow) for a short while to see if I could pick up any mackerel. The water was quite coloured close in and there was plenty of loose weed around so figured it was pointless staying and left after 25mins.

Me and two others fished rocks between Barna and Spiddle last night and got 50 mackeral. Lots of sprat and birds showing. Called into Spiddle pier on the way home and saw mackeral everywhere. The sea was alive with sprat and the mackeral were even up on the beach something I have never seen there before.

Massive breaks in front of Cobh on the incoming tide tonight. Bashers were picking them up in numbers all along the quays and right down to Cuskinny Bay.

Castlerock side bar mouth
Heavy rain and 30-40mhp winds (soaked!)
Just 2 Mack on feathers. Reckon could have had more if conditions were better and only gave it an hour. Allot of bird activity tho
