CORTAZ.

Duration:3 hours

Tide:up to high

Weather:only fit for sun bathing

Bait:lug and spinners

Rigs:one up one down

Results:about 6 bass

Report:A few from the site met up to give this place a bash and we had mixed fortune with pa having 1 bass another for kstaff. All other bass taken by cortaz. It was a beautifully evening weather wise with it being too sunny if anything. The area was alive with fish which seemed to be mostly mullet and sea trout.
After a few tips from cortaz kstaff and pa were soon into fish with the rest of us getting bites but not connecting.
As we had to walk a couple of hundred yards out into the water nobody risked bringing a camera out but a few shots later which I will post when I get a chance.
Had a bit of drama at the end of the session which we will go into later. We should not post yet lads as the powers that be are dealing with at the mo.

Great to meet the lads from the site again and hello to ferg who has not been out with us before.

Hello to all,

great evening on Sun and nice to meet all concerned, really enjoyed the fishing but aside from the catching aspect the Cunnigar has to be 1 of teh most beautiful places to fish in Ireland, warm shallow water with fish for as far as the eye can see! Waist deep in the water wearing only shorts at 10 o' clock in the evening takes some beating. Many thanks to Cortaz for all his advice and help on the day too, more than happy to share all his tips and tricks. Highly recommend a trip for anyone who hasn't been.

Regards,

Hello all.
Didn't want to post what happened at the end of the session earlier.
You don't know who might be reading this and the bailiffs were still out looking when I made the first post.

As kstaff said we could not have had a better evening for it. As the light started to fade a punt came into the shallows about 1 Km to our right and shot a net. Thinking this was unbelievable we went for our phones to report this asshole to the guards in Dungarvan who were not interested. The response I got was they have a boat, how are we going to catch them

This guy in the boat then came across in front of us and shot another net to our left. At this point we had been talking to the SRFB and they said that they were out in a boat about an hour away but would get there as fast as they could.

Unfortunately this was not soon enough and they did not catch anybody.
