Report:with myself and gordy being lucky to have family in tralee headed down together to keep costs low ,our first session was food and drink at a family gathering ,then off to dig lug with john,this proved difficult in a force 5 or 6 breeze and we headed to a mark john thought might give some protection ,it did

till after 5 min the wind swung round and sandblasted us

home we went defeated by mother nature

(i didnt blank i impaled a sandeel on the retreave

)
Day 2 the wind dropped slightly to 35 mph leaving the beaches with a surf any angler knows is mad to try so plan b and off two a slightly sheltered mark ,flats came in a steady enough flow and so did the showers some of hail

i managed a little bass before lines up and of to dig for the evening session ,200 lug later we headed off for food

my god was i hungry it was 9 hours since i chowed down
We met up on a surf beach at dusk and thank god it was down to prob 25 mph wind ,but alas despite our best effort,s 3 hours later we packed up fishless
Day 3 can only be described as heaven

5mph breaze in pleasant sunshine with a nice steady fishey surf

we fished from 9.45 till 1.30 and had flounder all of which where good solid fish

and bass that although small(average 43 cm) sure where fit

gordy released the largest flounder of the day before it could be measured much to johns dissapointment

and then had the cheek to nab a turbot much to johns dismay
a big THANKS to john for his help over the few days when the smoothies are on the hunt we hope to return the hospitality

we had a ball down in the kingdom even if the weather gods only smiled on us for one session
