Report:
Well, it doesn't happen very often that I have 3 days off work. Therefore, I couldn't waste such an opportunity. It didn't take long to persuade Sean to this trip. So, we threw our stuff into the van, filled it up to the gills for a diesel and we set off to the South West.
My goal for the trip was clear:
To catch my first ever wrasse, beat my shy 1lb lure pollack record and... to see the sunset over the ocean

The Celtic Tiger era left us with some great dual carriageways and allowed us to bypass Waterford and Cork quickly. After less than a 4 hour drive, we touched for the first time narrow roads of the Beara Penninsula...
and dream's comes true

Gear used:
I tackled up with light gear for sea luring, 8ft old Abu rod loaded with 15lb mono line. My lure was jigs 10 gm's on Gamakatsu hooks, using shads from well known cheap german discount store

This Peninsula is just stuffed with the fish, so only what we had to do, was to throw ANY lure into the deep ocean's water. Beara's fish are very easy on sp's due to the fact no one is fishing for them over here. During three days trip we met only 3others anglers

Quality of the photos is not so good this time, because most of them were taken with selftimer and during bad weather.
